FACTS:

• In Botswana, nearly 4 out of 10 people are infected with AIDS.
  - Due to the war in Uganda, 1.7 million people have been forced from their homes and into displacement camps. Due to Hurricane Katrina, 78,000 people were evacuated from their homes. The war in Uganda has caused 21times
the displacement as Katrina.
• Malaria causes at least 1 million deaths each year. That's the equivalent of 5 full Boeing 747 jets crashing every day.
• The number of people living with AIDS exceeds 40 million. That's about the same as the total population of California and Arizona combined, 41.6 million.
• Every 3 seconds, a child dies because he/she was malnourished or suceptible to disease. That is another death while you read this fact.
