The very left-wing progressive magazine, The Nation, has decided to offer students a free electronic subscription to the magazine online. I was actually subscribed to this magazine last year (but did not renew it after a year since I was moving to my dorm), and I liked it. It is, however, as I said, quite left-wing. But I like that The Nation is not afraid to report the facts. This magazine has been around since 1865 and America’s oldest weekly magazine. The magazine’s editor and publisher Katrina vanden Heuvel states that this new campus initiative is aimed at allowing any students interested in engaging with the issues of the day an opportunity to do so with a publication that takes them seriously.
So, hurry up and get a free electronic subscription. I’ve never heard of any magazine that allowed you to do this, and I think it is really cool they are. Good for them!
To do so, go to StudentNation.us and fill out the information in the red box on the left of the page!
Enjoy, and tell your friends about it! I’m not sure when this expires (if it ever will), but if it does expire, take advantage of this opportunity and spread the word!
